UP COMING, BLACKBERRY GEMINI

Research In Motion (RIM) akan segera perkenalkan secara resmi BlackBerry terbarunya yang bernama Curve 8520 atau Gemini dengan harga terjangkau. T-Mobile akan menjadi operator pertama yang mengusungnya. Dikabarkan BlackBerry baru tersebut hadir pada 5 Agustus mendatang, seharga US$ 130 (perkiraan sementara).

BlackBerry Gemini ini adalah handset yang ditujukan bagi pasar mid-level. Fiturnya pun hanya standar seperti IM, SMS, MMS dan beberapa fitur jejaring sosial seperti Facebook dan MySpace. Selain itu pengguna juga bisa menikmati musik serta bermain game.

"Akan banyak dan lebih banyak lagi pengguna ponsel memilih untuk meng-upgrade smartphone mereka, dan BlackBerry Curve 8520 akan meyakinkan banyak orang untuk mencobanya," ujar Carlo Chiarello, vice president product management RIM. Ia menambahkan bahwa BlackBerry kini masih menjadi produk smartphone terlaris di Amerika.
